Welcome to the North Carolina School of Percussion, and thank you for stopping by! Located in High Point, North Carolina we are the only full discipline, curriculum driven school in North Carolina (and one of only a handful across The United States) dedicated exclusively to students of percussion performance.
Whether you are a beginning percussionist, a student preparing for an audition, an experienced player looking to “up your game”, you simply wish to explore an area of percussion performance that is new to you, or you are a community member interested in joining one of our percussion ensembles, I encourage you to explore the website.
At NCSP our goal is for our students to develop exceptional performance skills in the percussion area of their choice. Our students enjoy top-notch instruction that includes one-on-one sessions with professional performers/educators coupled with directed listening and video support through the student area of our website. All of this is focused within a graded, progressive, curriculum designed to allow the student to develop the required skills on their instrument at a rapid pace.
At a cost that is no greater than simply “taking lessons”, we are pleased to offer a learning experience for our students that is designed to increase not only their performance skills, but also their understanding and to provide performance opportunities for them along the way.
Alumni of The North Carolina School of Percussion and its predecessor organizations include touring professionals, studio artists, members of Tier-I and Tier-II symphony orchestras, Broadway, off-Broadway and Musical touring performers, members of DCI and WGI units and hundreds of amateur and semi-professional across North America.
If you have a question, please do not hesitate to send us a message, inquire about current schedule openings, sign up for instruction or, if you wish, contact me personally. I would be honored to communicate with you.
